Weathering the Pandemic Together
Welcome to the Mills Annual Fund - ONLINE! We have moved our fundraising campaign, "Weathering the Pandemic Together," to an online platform to make giving even easier! With a simple student registration process, you make your gift and we give credit (and prizes) to your student! You and your student can also reach out to family and friends for additional donations -- every donation makes a difference! Our student gifts and prizes are listed below, and you can check out our Updates page to see our growing list for raffle prizes!
What is the Mills Annual Fund?
As many of you know, the school district’s annual operating budget allocation for Mills doesn’t fully cover the costs of all that Mills needs each year. The Mills Annual Fund was created to bridge that funding gap to ensure that we do all we can to support our kids’ learning experience. The Annual Fund supports a wide variety of school needs including Chromebooks, scientific calculators, science lab materials, teacher education, student counseling and clubs, just to name a few.
This year, a year unlike any other, Mills also needs additional classroom technology and enhancements to meet the challenges of new online and hybrid learning models. Our school has 55 classrooms with varying degrees of technology-based needs such as new document cameras to display class materials, wall-mounted flat screen monitors, and improved network connections. Also needed are upgraded and improved WIFI and remote learning support for students, and subscriptions to eLearning tools and programs to allow teachers to better pivot between remote learning, hybrid learning, and in-person instruction.
We Need You
Your contribution, of any amount, will allow such technology to be purchased, directly improving your student's virtual and in-person classroom experience. Please help us reach our goal of $100,000 with your generous donation and by sharing the opportunity to contribute with family and friends.
Together we will reach this goal - together we will weather the storm! On behalf of Mills High School - THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROSITY!
Your donation to the Mills Annual Fund goes directly into a general fund for Mills High School. The funds are overseen by the Mills Planning Committee (MPC), a group of Mills High School stakeholders (administrators, teachers, parent volunteers and student representatives) led by Principal Duszynski. The MPC establishes priorities for Annual Fund proceeds based on our school's annual programming and service needs. It reviews the annual funding requests and allocates funding for approved items.
